Sterling Plumpp, author of ten books of poetry including Blues Narrative (Tia Chucha Press), will present participants from the Guild Complex’s ongoing workshop, “Poetry with Sterling Plumpp.” The workshop is an open and honest forum for writers to share their work. Workshoppers will read from their original work.
Sterling Plumpp is Professor of English and African American studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His published volumes of poetry include Blues Narratives (Tia Chucha Press). Professor Plumpp has received the Carl Sandburg Literary Prize for Poetry and the Richard Wright Litrerary Excellence Award.
