Regie Gibson has helped redefine the role of ?contemporary poet? and has done so in his own inimitable style. He has contributed to bvarious anthologies and recordings. Gibson was one of the writers for, and also made a cameo appearance in, the motion picture Love Jones ( directed by fellow Chicagoan and poet Theodore Witcher). Unfortunately for us, Regie has decided to take his talent and energy to boston. Tonight we will join his friends from across Chicago?s performance community in celebration of Regie?s work here and his move.
