Harvey Plotnick?s play Allison was produced in Chicago by The Playwrights Center. Another play, The Skiptracer Conspiracy, won a major award from The New England Theater Association. His poems have appeared in numerous magazines, including Columbia Poetry Review and No Roses Review and in 1993, he self-published a collection of his work, Notes of a Refugee. In 1999,his poem ?Jewish? was included in the anthology Outsiders, published by Milkweed Press.

S. Brandi Barnes is a poet/book reviewer and journalist. Her most recent reviews and commentary appear in QBR, and on-line at Africana.com; BET.com/BOOKS; and cabj.org. Ms. Barnes is the author of BlackBerries in the ChinaCabinet (Kar-Mel Press), The Chicago Reader Newspaper, Essence Magazine, and other publications. She is a recipient of a Gwendolyn Brooks ?Illinois Significant Poet Award?; an Robert A. McCormick Fellowship from the Ragdale Foundation; a Literary Excellence Award from Columbia College; and Literary grant from the City of Chicago.
