Michael Phillip Edwards, an award-winning actor (1996 Best Actor NAACP nominee, Dramalogue) and poet is the first solo African American writer/performer recipient of the Edinburgh Festival?s Fringe First Award. Tonight he will read excerpts from his one-manshow, ?RUNT,? as well as read some of his poetry.

Nikki Pattin found her voice through words at the sharp-tongued age of seven. Honed by the Chicago winds, her poems range from deeply contemplative self-explorations to scathingly honest commentaries on body image, race, and gender.
