A. Van Jordan was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, and is a graduate of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. He is a member of the Cave Canem Workshop. He has taught at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC and Prince George?s Community College in Largo, MD. ?Rise? (2001 Tia Chucha Press) is his first collection of poetry. Anne-Marie Cusac?s poetry has appeared in TriQuarterly, The American Scholar, The Texas Observer and other journals. Recipient of a Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University, Cusac is now the managing editor of The Progressive magazine in Madison, Wisconsin. ?the Mean Days?
