Collaboraction presents its fourth annual Sketchbook, a bazaar of ultra-short world-premiere plays, visual art and music in a social, mixed-media environment.

It is a lively celebration of creative risk-taking and the spontaneous mind. The festival blends staged theatrical works, music and fine art into a series of 13 single-night events. The end result will be an interactive adventure into the mind of the artists.

The 16 plays include:

About a City: A bustling ballet of a mid-town Manhattan sidewalk.

Boxes: In this academic administrator?s office, every form needs a box and every box needs a label.

Family Swim: Through the lens of Reggie Baker’s documentary, we watch the family swim together, while wheelchair-bound Lilly sits out.

The Five Incidental Encounters Between Veronica Flaubert and Spot Forrester:The five incidental encounters between two people born on the same day in the same hospital.

Incoming:Twins relive the tragic events of their childhood.

Insomnia:An exploration of one man?s inability to get some shut-eye.

The Last Game of the Season :For this men’s soccer team, the post-game barbecue will be somber.

My Yeti Dreams:Christine brings a beautiful and wild Yeti into her home, but a men’s catalogue changes everything.

On Air:In the wee hours of the morning, Dara bares all on the University radio station.

On Sunday Morning: As an elderly couple motions through another Sunday morning, their web of denial deconstructs.

Potatoes:Zedrick brings Dee a potato sack with mysterious contents.

Spandex and Sympathy: It’s not easy being a Super Hero.

Splotches on the Moon:Bobby is going through puberty; Dad drops the news about the men in the family and their secret.

Third Appointment:It’s the third appointment for this man and his therapist, and he’s had a dream.

Untitled 2:What is the future of gray?
