For over 20 years Chicago film and video maker Dan Dinello has been producing one of the oddest bodies of work around. Along with his nephew and frequent collaborator Paul Dinello (Exit 57) he has created several twisted tales which spoof established genres and conventions and are laced with a delicious black humor.

Tonight?s program features individual works by both and several collaborations. Their newest film, Shock Asylum (1996, 15 min. 16mm), is the story of a young man; diagnosed as ?reluctant and angry,? whole routine psychological evaluation goes horribly awry. Also on the program: Beyond the Door (1995, 9 min., 16mm) Really Dead (1993, 6 min., 16 mm, co-director Sharon Sandusky), Chicago Halloween (1991, 13 min., video), Jesus (1995, 8 min., 16 mm on video), plus other surprises.
