Kim Brunet is currently working on a manuscript entitled ?El Arbol Se Desnuda? (The Tree Undresses) Originally from New York City, Nicaragua?s Giaconda Belli and Puerto Rico?s Julia De Burgos are her writing influences. Sylvia Alambar is a visual artist, specializing in oils and acrylic as well as having five years of understudy work at University of Illinois at Chicago.She volunteers at Kanoon Elementary School teaching art to kindergarten-second graders. She was also a member of Chicago Theater Players and currently devotes her time to giving theater workshops at community organizations. Susana Avitia has performed with Teatro Jugular and El Teatro del Sotano currently in residence at Casa Aztlan in Pilsen. Susana Banuelos, youth program coordinator at Casa Azalan and a member of Teatro Callejero/ Street Theater, is a singer, poet, actress. Most recently she was the leading actress in a 15 min. independent video production entitled ?The Weekend.? She will be accompanied by Marcos Chavez on guitar as well as collaborate with individual poets. Plus other special gusts.
