After Jellyeye?s nearly sold out run of Blood Lotus last year, Chicago Filmmakers welcomes the return of their stunning drum opera along with other new works.

This disciplined eight member drumming troupe creates performance that is mesmerizing in its primal appeal, drawing the audience into an ever changing field of rhythm, light, film, shadow and motion. For four weeks beginning in January, Jellyeye will perform new works developed for their next drum opera, as well as its critically acclaimed drum dance Blood Lotus, premiered at Chicago Filmmakers in Spring 1993.
