Ten Tongues celebrates the soul of confessional poet Anne Sexton in a performance originally created to honor what would have been her 70th birthday. Ten Tongues has been described as “Blissful … and hypnotic. ” The group is made up of disgruntled former members of The Loofah Method, including performance poet Cin Salach and musicians Mark Messing, Mark Penner-Howell and Danny Faith. This special performance of Anne Sexton also features musicians Doug Brush and David Zaworski. The Loofah Method was a maxi-media performance group that broke new ground in both poetry and interdisciplinary arts in the late eighties and early nineties.
