Other Voices has been a vibrat presence in the Chicago literary scene and nationally for fifteen years. Winner of numerous Illinois Arts Council Awards and including work forthcoming in Best American Short Stories1999, the magazine is now celcbrating the release of their 30th Anniversary Issue.

Other Voices has been a vibrat presence in the Chicago literary scene and nationally for fifteen years. Winner of numerous Illinois Arts Council Awards and including work forthcoming in Best American Short Stories1999, the magazine is now celcbrating the release of their 30th Anniversary Issue. Celebrated Illinois writers featured in Issue #30 will read from their work.

Readers include Sharon Fiffer, whose recent books include the anthologies Home: American Writers Remember Rooms of their own and Family American Writers Remember Their Own (Pantheon) and a new collection Body, is forth coming from Avon this summer.

G.K. Wuori, a Pushcart Prize Winner whose first collection of short fiction has jus been released from Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.

Susan Nussbaum, disability rights activist and award-winning author of eight plays will perform her one-act play, ?Forever Profaned.? She is a frequent collaborator with the Blue Rider Theater. Her plays have also been staged by Live Bait, Second City, the Organic and in other theaters around the country.
