For any poet who has ever wanted to perform their poetry to music this is a rare chance to perform with a master. His musical influences include African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, East Indian, and Hawaiian music, filtered through blues, jazz and rock sensibilities in songs peppered with unorthodox techniques. Instruments include strap on electric cello , stand up drum set, percussion, fretless bass, kalimba, dumbec, bendir, piano, flute, digeridoo, slide guitar, trombone and prime vocals. Stone also performs with the band Ulele.
Susana Sandoval, a South Chicago born poet and visually artist, has been sharing her many talents with audiences in the Chicagoland area for the past six years, most notably as a poet, at DePaul University, Guild Complex, Chicago Cultural Center, Old Town School of Folk Music and Printers Row Book Fair. Her work has been heard on radio outlets such as WBEZ?s ?Metropolis?, and La Mexicana?s ?To-do En Domingo?
