Funsho has been performing his poetry in the Chicago area for the past three years. He is a student at Chicago?s Columbia College, majoring in photography. He is also a member of a Peanut Gallery, a national Hip-Hop organization with a loyal underground following; he also doubles as a member of the group Holy Nomadics. He has performed his work, both poetry and Hip Hop at De Paul University, Columbia University, No Exit Caf‚, Guild Complex, Lit-X and Afriware. His writing exposes the values of consciousness, community and positivity; this is reflected in his poetry and in his lyrics. Funsho is one of the few young artists to maintain a cohesion between the root which is poetry and what is now known as Hip-Hop.
